INDEPENDENT COMPANY VALUATION

Bring the evidence that makes the discussion useful.

An interactive company valuation readiness checklist covering the brief, earnings, ownership, customers, working capital and owner responsibilities.

THE STARTING POINT

You do not need a perfect information pack to enquire. Start by identifying the purpose, what is being valued and the records available. This checklist highlights preparation gaps; it does not value or rate your company.

Start with seven evidence groups

Tick the groups you have organised. Your selections stay in this page and are not sent with an enquiry.

The preparation list without the tool

    Evidence groupUseful starting information
Purpose and scopeDecision, company or shares, valuation date, readers and deadline
Financial recordsAnnual accounts, current management figures and forecasts if relevant
Earnings adjustmentsReported-to-adjusted bridge with explanations and supporting records
OwnershipGroup chart, cap table, articles, share rights and shareholder loans
CustomersRevenue, gross profit, contracts, concentration and relationship owners
Operating fundingMonthly debtors, stock, creditors, cash, debt and seasonal movements
Owner responsibilitiesCurrent duties, management coverage and replacement assumptions

    If records are incomplete

List what is available, which versions are reconciled and which items require explanation. Do not disguise estimates as verified figures. A scoped initial discussion can determine whether missing information changes the required work, timetable or usefulness of a conclusion. The list is a starting framework, not a claim that every engagement requires identical documents.

    Share information in stages

The enquiry form asks for contact details, purpose and an optional business location. Do not upload financial statements, identification or transaction documents through it. Agree the scope, confidentiality arrangements and document-sharing route before sending sensitive records.
